Embrace the Change

Its never easy dealing with change, but one thing I will tell you is that change always happens and you need to embrace it.

For the two years I was a teacher at SLAM Miami a Charter school in Miami.

I was able to be a part of something great. I was the sole teacher in charge of their television production program, as well as, coach girls and boys volleyball.

In the TV production program, I was able to impact students to become creatives, and begin their journey of creativity. I was also able to develop systems that would be used in other SLAM locations in the future.

In the volleyball programs I was able to achieve two district titles with the boys, and inspire a love for the game with the girls.

But as seasons change it was time for me to start a new season at iMater another charter school in Miami.

Here I have been able to help grow the girls volleyball program, by aiding their amazing head coach by providing extra technical knowledge to their offense, But provide an opportunity for the girls to receive off season travel programs.

I was also able to create a Boys volleyball program where the limit for growth is limitless.

Now here is the kicker, not only am I here to grow and create the TV production program, but I have also been given the opportunity to develop their photography, yearbook, and digital design programs.

And boy has that been fun in itself….

In my first year at iMater we saw amazing strides in creativity in the videos, pictures, and especially in the yearbook.

So even though you change is something that might scare you don’t know what the future has in store for you.

So… I say EMBRACE THE CHANGE!!!!!!
